Reach Before Time
Arriving early to your favorite yoga class not only help you settle in but also align yourself with the purpose of the class. While waiting, you can
- introduce yourself to your teacher and others
- choose your space where you would like to be practicing
- inhale and exhale
- last, not the least, stretch a little
Avoid Eating At least Two Hours Before and Half Hour After Yoga Session
You may experience nausea, cramps while performing yoga asanas or postures on a full stomach. Two hours after you eat is when you have an unfilled stomach and it’s alright to rehearse yoga. Also, it is advised not to drink for 15 minutes and eat for half an hour after the yoga session until the body becomes calm.
Prior Inform Your Instructor About Your Medical History If Any
If you have any medical history or got injured then inform your instructor priorly. Don’t try to modify the posture yourself.
Carry Your Yoga Mat And A Towel
Bring your own mat to perform yoga asanas or postures along with a towel if you sweat a lot.
Keep Your Cell Phones Out Of Sight While Taking Yoga Session
Yoga is performed best when you are calm and relaxed. Please be sure that your cell phones are switched off or out of sight so as not to get disturbed during Yoga practice.
Follow Your Instructor Instructions Calmly
It’s good to share a session with the people you know, yet it’s better to discuss with the instructor as they have expertise in it.
Don’t Push It
Without injuring or straining yourself, do what you can do. Don’t try to go deeply into a posture or asana that might harm you or you might not be able to do. You may also experience pain as a signal to stop telling you that you’re pushing past your limits.
