Thanos have clashed with many of the superheroes namely X-man, who made the scars on his face, The Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers. He has appeared in many movies of Marvel Cinematic Universe even before the Infinity War. He was first seen in Avengers, later he made cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
He appeared as the main antagonist for the first time in Avengers: Infinity War, where he collected all the Six Infinity Stones and became most powerful villain ever appeared. He then destroyed half of the Universe at the climax of Infinity War.
Now it is revenge time, the Avengers are ready to fight back Thanos in Avengers: End Game, which is now in Cinemas near you. You need to go and watch the movie there to know the further story. We are not going to give any spoiler about this.
The name ‘Thanos’ is derived from Thanatos in Greek mythology. Thanatos personifies death according to that.
So, till now, Thanos said a lot of things, of which we have collected a few significant ones for you.
Here We Go With Some of the top Thanos dialogues.
Initially in Infinity War, when Thanos captures Thor, that time he only had the reality stone. That time he warned Thor regarding the forthcoming destiny. Thanos said:
“I know what it’s like to lose. To feel so desperately that you’re right, yet to fail nonetheless. It’s frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives. Or should I say, I am.”
Though he was the culprit behind the destruction of her planet, Thanos convinced Gamora by his manipulating words. He said:
“Going to bed hungry. Scrounging for scraps. Your planet was on the brink of collapse. I was the one who stopped that. You know what’s happened since then? The children born have known nothing but full bellies and clear skies. It’s a paradise.”
“You’re strong. Me… You’re generous. Me… But I never taught you to lie. That’s why you’re so bad at it. Where is the Soul Stone?”
Thanos got completely blind in hunger of power. He was ready to sacrifice anything to attain that. So, while sacrificing Gamora’s life his, last words were:
“I ignored my destiny once, I cannot do that again. Even for you. I’m sorry Little one.”
He was too much determined about his goals, for him sacrificing his favourite daughter was also easy because he quoted in his dialogue,
“The hardest choices require the strongest wills.”
In a conversation with Dr. Strange, Thanos was sharing his pride. According to him, he was the decider of the universe. They had the conversation as:
Thanos: “Titan was like most planets. Too many mouths, not enough to go around. And when we faced extinction, I offered a solution.”
Dr. Stephen Strange: “Genocide?”
Thanos: “At random. Dispassionate, fair. The rich and poor alike. And they called me a madman. And what I predicted, came to pass.”
Dr. Stephen Strange: “Congratulations. You’re a prophet.”
Thanos: “I’m a survivor.”
Dr. Stephen Strange: “Who wants to murder trillions.”
Thanos: “With all six Stones, I could simply snap my fingers. They would all cease to exist. I call that mercy.”
Dr. Stephen Strange: “And then what?”
Thanos: “I finally rest, and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe. The hardest choices require the strongest wills.”
Dr. Stephen Strange: “I think you’ll find our will equal to yours.”
One of the Famous Thanos Dialogue is when Thanos faced Iron Man, he already knew about Stark, the genius. He acknowledges it in a different way in their conversation:
Tony Stark: “You know me?”
Thanos: “I do. You’re not the only one cursed with knowledge.”
“When I’m done, half of humanity will still exist. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. I hope they remember you.”
Thanos did, what he said. After getting all the Infinity Stones with the snap of a finger, he destroyed half of the universe in the climax of Avengers: Infinity War. But after doing so, he was not as happy as he expected. He had regrets in mind. He imagined his dead daughter, Gamora questioning for his deeds.
Gamora: “Did you do it?”
Gamora: “What did it cost?”
He regretted his action at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. This won’t make any change in the destruction he has done. He has to repay for this. Let’s see what Avengers has planned for him.
